Life Jackets & Flotation Devices: The Good, The Bad and The Never Ending Controversy

As the Summer of 2024 approaches and parents begin to think more about and plan for time in and around water and because we all want that time to be SAFE, it is time to answer all these questions and more!!

We will also get in to the never ending controversy surrounding flotation devices and answer some of these questions.

"I read an article that said Puddle Jumpers are dangerous and unsafe and they can make my child more susceptible to drowning? Is this true?"

"Can a lifejacket or floatation device impact or impede my child's swimming ability?"

"Are life jackets and flotation devices approved to be used in pools?"

"I have 3 kids and only 2 hands. How can I keep my children the most safe?"

At the end of the presentation, there will be time to address any additional questions participants may have.

Dayna Harvey is a Water Safety Expert. She has been educating and empowering parents with information, strategies and hands-on tools to help them teach their children how to be safe in and around water for the past 36 years.

As drowning remains the #1 cause of accidental death in children under age 5 and for any child diagnosed with Autism, Dayna is more committed than even before to reach more families with all the information that they need to keep their child from being involved in a drowning accident.
