Water Safety Education to End Childhood Drowning
Empowering families with the simple, lifesaving strategies of Watch-Wait-Swim
You've seen the statistics.
You know the dangers.
But has anyone given you a PLAN when it comes to water safety?
With rates of childhood drowning continuing to climb, it’s clear that something’s missing from our approach to water safety in America.
Much of the advice out there is incomplete, oversimplified, and missing the most crucial part: the HOW.
Your child is counting on you to make water safety rules a part of daily life—from the bathtub to the pool and beyond.
Water Safety With Miss Dayna's Watch-Wait-Swim Water Safety Method offers everything you need to make water safety as second nature as buckling their car seat.

I’m Dayna Harvey, Water Safety Expert and Certified Swim Instructor
I've lived my entire life around water and have been teaching kids to swim for over 35 years. In 2022, I visited over 450 childcare centers from Virginia to New Mexico and was shocked to learn that none offered any water safety information to families.
I realized I had to get my simple, proactive approach to water safety into more communities.
Since then, I have traveled to an additional 2,000 schools nationwide to spread the word about the Watch-Wait-Swim Water Safety Method. With fun, friendly characters, confidence-building routines, and lifesaving strategies, the Watch-Wait-Swim engages the whole family and fits into your existing routines. Learn more about my story.

“All of our kids stop in their tracks when I say ‘wait’ at the pool.”
"We have four boys (ages 7, 5, 3, and a baby). We have enrolled all of our kids in swimming lessons with Ms. Dayna as soon as they turned two so they can learn the lifesaving skills they need to be safe in the water. She has always given us good advice on rules to use with our kids around the water.
This past fall, she started incorporating the waiting whale mats and the practice of "where there is water, I will wait" in her lessons. Just the word "wait" has been a game-changer this summer at the pool. All of our kids stop in their tracks when I say "wait" at the pool. We also have a spot at the pool that we use for them to wait until they are allowed to get in the water. I am so thankful that Dayna is always thinking of ways to help our kids be safe around water and giving us tools to empower us to be water guardians for our kids."
